On November 19-22, 2024, the delegation of Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) participated in the annual meeting of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE).

The annual meeting of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) was this year hosted by Bursa Malaysia. The agenda of this event included the meetings of WFE working committees, board of directors and members. The members of the World Federation of Exchanges at various events discussed the trends of the international market in stock exchanges, modern exchange and market infrastructure of today, cooperation between international exchanges, the implementation of innovations, bridging markets, and issues such as the exposure of capital markets to changes occurring in the world and the preservation of stability.

During his visit, CEO of Baku Stock Exchange Ruslan Khalilov, held a productive meeting with CEO of Bursa Malaysia Datuk Muhamad Umar Swift to explore and discuss potential cooperation initiatives between the two exchanges.

It should be noted that the Baku Stock Exchange has been an affiliate member of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) since January 2020. Application of international practices in the capital markets of Azerbaijan, strengthening the ecosystem, transparency and market trust is one of the main subjects that Baku Stock Exchange attaches importance to.
