On December 4, 2024, Baku Stock Exchange spoke at “OECD Review of the Corporate Governance of Azerbaijan Investment Holding and its State-Owned Enterprises” event.
The event started with opening speeches of Azerbaijan Investment Holding (AIH) CEO Mr. Ruslan Alikhanov, World Bank country manager for Azerbaijan, Europe and Central Asia Stefanie Stallmeister, Chair, OECD Working Party on State Ownership and Privatization Practices Mr. Charles Donald, Head of the Eurasian Department of the OECD Global Relations Secretariat William Thompson.
During the event, panel discussions were held on topics such as "Corporate Sustainability and State Enterprises", “OECD Review: Key findings and recommendations for way forward” and "Capital Markets and Privatization". Baku Stock Exchange CEO Mr. Ruslan Khalilov, who spoke as a speaker in "Capital Markets and Privatization" panel, gave detailed information about the capital markets of Azerbaijan and spoke about the possibilities of financing through local capital markets.
The aim of the event was to identify steps in advancing Azerbaijan’s reform efforts in line with international standards.
