Representatives of the Baku Stock Exchange participated in the 7th Session of the UK–Azerbaijan Joint Intergovernmental Commission, held from 28 to 30 April 2025 in the United Kingdom.
During the visit, the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) delegation, together with representatives from the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the British Embassy in Azerbaijan, held productive meetings at the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). The discussions focused on advancing the development of Azerbaijan’s capital markets and covered a wide range of topics, including dual listing opportunities and potential collaboration with LSEG Data & Analytics to enhance international awareness of Azerbaijan’s capital markets and support foreign investors in making informed decisions.
Stronger cooperation between the two stock markets will not only contribute to the development of local companies through greater access to capital markets but will also strengthen the already close economic ties between the United Kingdom and Azerbaijan.
Additionally, within the framework of the 7th Session of the UK–Azerbaijan Joint Intergovernmental Commission, both countries identified new opportunities to diversify the economy across key sectors such as financial and professional services, technology, artificial intelligence, small and medium-sized enterprises, cybersecurity, science, healthcare, culture, youth, and sports.
