On February 27, 2025, a seminar on the topic of "Capital Markets: Key Principles and Fundamental Knowledge" was held for local media representatives, organized by the Association of Participants in the Azerbaijan Stock Market (AFBIA) and the Baku Stock Exchange.

The main objective of the seminar was to share in-depth and comprehensive information about capital markets with media representatives, as well as to expand the scope of the awareness-raising process in this field.

During the seminar, Murad Yeyyayev, Executive Director of AFBIA, provided information on the local capital market ecosystem, as well as the legislative and regulatory framework of capital markets. Ülkər Əhmədova, the leading economist of the Baku Stock Exchange, and Fərhad Mənsurov, the head of the listing department, shared insights into the trading of securities on the stock exchange, along with a bulletin on global and local macroeconomic and capital market trends, which was presented to the media representatives. Additionally, Elçin Məmmədov, Director of the Retail Client Services Department at ABB Invest Investment Company, presented on the activities of investment companies and IPOs (Initial Public Offerings). Rövşən Məmmədov, an employee of Invest AZ Investment Company, provided information on international exchanges, including forex and commodity markets.

The event concluded with discussions, and participants had the opportunity to address their questions to the experts. At the end of the seminar, participants were awarded certificates.

Organizing such seminars for media representatives not only increases their awareness of capital markets but also helps in delivering more comprehensive and accurate information on economic topics to the public.

The development of the local capital market and the enhancement of financial literacy are among the main focus areas of the Baku Stock Exchange.
