On January 31, 2025, the meeting was held at the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) with the delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The meeting was attended by Anna Bordon, Mission Chief for Azerbaijan, Middle East and Central Asia Department, and leading representatives of the BSE. During the discussions, the economic situation of the country and the development prospects of the capital markets were in focus.
Anna Bordon, head of the IMF mission, said that the development of capital markets is of strategic importance for the economic future of Azerbaijan, and she positively evaluates the steps taken in this direction.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan became a member of the International Monetary Fund on September 18, 1992 and has been closely cooperating with the organization over the years.
